Time dilation must apply to everything in the two twins thought experiment and it is when that is taken into account there comes a problem.
Each twin has a cd that plays for one hour and it is recorded how many times each cd plays plus any distortion to the sound.
Now if the cd`s play the same number of times there can be no time dilation and if the cd in space plays slower there will be distortion and there is no time dilation.
