I found this entry very interesting (being a teenager myself and having gone through some really bad depressions)
I thought the explanation for depression was very well formed but that it missed one major point. One of the most damaging beliefs that teenagers have is that they are alone and that nobody understande them. Therefore the teenager will latch onto anything (possibly as a replacement for the failures of their parents and religion) that shows signs of understanding them.
This was why Generation X was so well recieved because it removed the feeling that you were alone with your emptyness. This also explains why people like Kurt Cobain or Richey Edwards became cult heroes.
I think it would be useful as well if on this page you included some advice for those that are depressed as they have no doubt found this page looking for help.
For any more info, I suggest that you read "Catcher in the Rye," "The Bell Jar" and "The Virgin Suicides."
Also any music by Nirvana, Radiohead, the early Manics, the Eels etc.
