I THOUGHT THE UK LICENSING TIMES WERE SET FOR THE REASONS YOU SET OUT BUT IN THE FIRST WORLD WAR NOT THE SECOND??

It was in fact WW1 and the Act that allowed the restriction was DORA ....(Defence Of the Realm Act) The hours were also stated incorectly and if memory serves me correctly it was originally allowed only to open until 10. 30 pm on weekdays and 10 pm 0n Sundays
