A Conversation for Real Ale
Couple of things...

Well a mention of beer festivals would be a favorite. Went to my first one in October with my university real ale society and it's one of the best days out I've had this year. Will definitely try to get to the great British beer fest next summer.
Also, you don't get hangovers with real ale! When you drink a lager, you're drinking an unfathomable cocktail of chemicals, the pale drinks arn't always the cleanest. Real ale is generally quite pure and free of colourings, so you'll feel a lot better the next morning.
That's what I tell myself anyways.
