In New Zealand, when someone sniffs snot down the back of their throat then forces it up to the mouth at the same time as forming it into a spittable blob, then spits it - it is called a HOIK (noun or verb)"I hoiked at him" "don't stand in that hoik", obviously derived from the sound this proceedure makes.
Australians call the noun a GOLLY, maybe because it looks like what goly sound like. The act of spitting is simply called spitting.
