Don't mean to be peevish, but didn't Jimmy and Roslyn Carter walk to his inauguration?

Not quite. 
Carter walked *from* his inauguration at the Capitol Building to the White House, whereas Jefferson walked *to* his inauguration. I guess it's a pretty unimportant distinction.
