Wasn't this the society that had Aleister Crowley as a member for a while? I know that the Irish poet WB Yeats was a member, as was Madame Blatavsky. Why Yeats would have wanted to be a part of this group I just can't fathom. I think the group descended into anarchy with two factions invoking hundreds of demons to attack each other. But the fact that Crowley thought they were mad says it all

That's ok. I have been in darkest Cornwall and have had a rather jolly time. Have you ever read a book called The Moonstone by DM Thomas? That was set in Cornwall and is a really enjoyable mix of Freud, White Magick and a Carry On film.
