A Conversation for Sleep Deprivation

I am a media researcher and as a seperate matter I am helping a friend prepare a case for a employment tribunal being heard on 2nd July. The case partially involves sleep deprivation caused by a 2 year old who has a diagnosed sleep disorder and relates to performance at work. The company concerned was aware of this but constructively dismissed the person who had 10 years prior solid employment as a manager with little prior problems at work. I would be very grateful for the following information. Does anybody hold academic or otherwise info/research on the effects both short and long term on a persons capability to perform responsible tasks and the same info on any case law not necesssarily whereby sleep deprivation is a factor. Who are the academic/medical bodies who have the best info regarding the above matters. There is a possibility that this case will become a good media story and ANY help would be appreciated.
