They both had the girl next door thing about them - especially Anita Harris. Liz Fraser was lovely though. Is she still alive?

Yep. Well I think so. Anita Harris did the decent thing though ... http://dyk.homestead.com/AHGallery.html ... Something of the Una Stubbs about her don't you think.

Let's face it, even Hattie Jaques looked a bit in a
uniform. Who was the female lead in Carry On Nurse... Shirley Eaton?

Didn't Anita Harris inflict some sixties MOR on us, I tended to get her confused with Clodagh Rodgers

She did - that's one reason why I went for Liz Fraser.

I've yet to find anyone admitting to fancying Barbara Windsor yet. I didn't then and I don't now - but wasn't that the main reason she was in the films

She knew what it was for.
That's why she was in the films.
Wasn't shy, neither.

Liz Fraser.
bless her.
and her wonderful assets.
and everything else about her.
babs windsor always seemed a bit too common, a bit too rough, a bit too brassy, a bit too in your face.
I know that might prove to be an unpopular statement but babs was never the girl next door. Liz always seemed like an attainable girl, someone you might get a date with.
Mind you I'd kill for Valerie Leon.
Joanie Sims was occasionally EXTREMELY sexy.
For an outright list of sexy Carry On films here's my pick.
Carry on Girls (for Valerie Leon and the other models in it)
Carry on England (for all the WRACs)
Carry on Screaming (For the Devine Fenella Fielding whom I worship & adore)
Carry on Cowboy (Joanie Sims and the other blond whose name escapes me)
