No scientific basis for meridians?

I am sure I saw somewhere an experiment with some sort of isotope... Apparently it travelled down lines, through the lymbic system I think, that match up with the meridians.
Of course it could be a whole bunch of rubbish that means nothing but I'm fairly sure I recall it making sense....
