Violence in Dragonball and Dragonball Z

Though some episodes have their fair share of violence I think it does not go over the top and serves the story/plot. It is a shame that so many scenes are cut here in the UK but at least it is less censored here than in the USA. Both Dragonball and Dragonball Z are very entertaining, however I cannot say the same for the GT series which seemed to have had its teeth pulled somewhere along the line.

There is a refreshing underlying humour and a positive edge to the first two series.smiley - smiley

Hm... I can't say General Blue has a positive edge in his Japanese version...

Musashi Himura, the ronin returns, is happy to be back

its rather irritating that we get such a censored version, and that sometimes a certain episode will be shown censored and sometimes the same episode will be shown uncensored which i do not understand on one episode in the saiyan saga piccolos arm gets destroyed he then rips this limb off and it regrows (due to piccolos regeneration technique) but on the same episode i had seen again recently this scene was cut out.

it was also a shame that vegetas voice changed halfway through he didnt seem nearly as cocky with his new voice.

I liked the new voice to be honest, but the DBZ dvds have a redubbed version with the original voices back. Sean Schemmel (Goku), Christopher Sabat (Piccolo, Vegeta, Yamcha) etc.

Yes the DBZ dvds... Lord Slug, Tree of Might and The World's Strongest is out in the UK at the minute but under different names.

I imported.

It's just like the Dragonball GT site having Goku's proper voice now instead of that rubbish he had before. smiley - smiley

Not over here, I don't think they'll be released.

I recommend import if you have a dvd player capable of playing NTSC/Region 1.

There is UK website where you can get some of the US dvds which is where I got some but that was before I learned how to import. smiley - smiley

The website prices are very expensive (£26 each for a dvd/video) so it's better to take advantage of the US dollar being 54p at the minute. smiley - biggrin

You asked if the episodes were ever getting released, I gave my opinion and suggested you how you could get them.
