Spring Haiku 2
Flaxen field transmutes
To green growing tender shoots
As warm Spring takes root
Lost in misty woods
Faery light stands still ahead
A cabin's hearth glows
Hum of industry
Vessels stop at every port
Bees sampling clover
Exoskeletons
Lie in the grass; our children's
Discarded jackets
My favourite of the Haiku is this one about the children's coats. It just struck me
that we put on so much clothing for protection at times it's like having a carapace. Amy the Ant
would know more about that than me, though.
