These three guide entries are great.
If I was to buy a hamster is it better to go to a breeder or a pet shop ?

Hello. Maximus here. The best thing to do is avoid large companies or pet shops in garden centres. Go for small, invidual retailers or private breeders which you cna find about through your local vet(s). Always enquire if they are 'farm bred' which means female hamster is bred and bred and bred and you will get health issues with your hamster. Go for small, independent breeders. How do you do this? If you have a small local pet shop that sells animals they usually go through a small independent breeder. Plcaes like pet city are to be avoided if you want a good quality animal.
