Is that really Peter Falk?

The only reason I read this entry was because of the blob (not because I'm a great fan of the detective series).
The resemblance of the image to Peter Falk as Columbo seems pretty tenuous. I clicked on the entry to see if the larger image was better, but confess I can't recognise the scruffy detective from the picture.

I must agree, the picture just isn't Columbo, or at least doesn't seem to be. I'd have thought a picture of him with his hand at his head when just about to ask a question would be a more Columbo-esque pose.

are not all detectives' appearances look-alike? only their way of solving is different but usually all agents, detectives,spies have the same sort of plain looks and an agile mind
