What role did the chocolate bourbon cream have in the Bay of Pigs crisis?

Clearly the crisis was caused by the clash between the imperialist Western approach (we have a right to dictate to other countries how their Bourbons should be eaten) and the Communist manifesto (these are the Bourbons of the people). Or something.
Now who was it that said "Ich bin ein Borbonner"?

The revolution in Cuba was precipitated by the Communists bringing in supplies of Chocolate Bourbon Creams for the people, not for the generals or President Battista. Battista's men managed to stop most of the revolutionaries, (and hijack nearly all the choccies) except for those under the command of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, who travelled via the Sierra Madres to bring their confection to the masses.
