A Conversation for Bourbon Biscuits

A couple of questions:
Does anyone know why they are called bourbons? The Bourbons were French dynasty around in mediaeval times but I don't know if their name is diretly related to either the whisky (spelt the same but pronounced differently) or the biscuits.
I have not eaten a boubon for more then two years as I have moved to Australia from the UK and have not seen them here. The bourbons posting has made me crave them. Can anyone tell me where I can get them on this continent?
Thanks
