Well she was a sort of trailblazer - being the first healthy carrier to be identified - ever.
I guess they just didn't know what to do with her in the first instance and they learned there lessons from her - it was a different time then and I wouldn't hold it against them now.

Well, she did make a life for herself on the island so it's not like she was in *actual* prison or anything.

Definately sounds better than living her live in a hospital ward. But still...I hope she didn't resent the authorities for it.

I suspect it was one of those things where when you accept your fate you go with the flow ..... no worse than our own mundane working lives.
