There was a Bond villain called Blofeld. Is there any link with the village? Could you create one? There could be a few bob in it for someone.

Please don't go down that line...
We're quite proud of our village as it is I'm afraid, and I doubt that anyone would believe that there was a link between Blofield and some evil German(?) mastermind.
Blofield has proud links with the Royal Navy as it has one of only 101 R.N. recognised Sea Scout units. This takes some doing, with a yearly inspection of the entire troop. This means Blofield would be more suited to having links with Cmmdr. Bond than with his arch-enemies!
