Yes, tourists do get eaten (Jakarta Post reports). It's easier and safer to go to Ragunan Zoo in Jakarta.
I wonder if Indonesia is going to settle down. Conspiracy theory suggests that powerful hidden forces (military? Moslem? CIA?) are behind the recent troubles. Or is it simply that a multitude of mini-mafias are battling for territory? Lots of Komodo Dragon oknum trying to control street markets, protection rackets, contracts....?
Anyway, Indonesia is still the most beautiful of countries with the most attractive of people.
