Hello,
There are some alternatives to swearing that are publishable.
The best one is the word "Feck" which is much used in the Republic of Ireland. There is also "shid" which is obvious but permissable.
Can anyone think of any more examples?
Myriad.

Flipping (adjective form), and FLIP! (explitive exclamation). I hear these from American young teens.

Another nice one is: B****x - which escapes swear "watchdogs" but everyone knows what it means.

i find swearing alternatives a very interesting concept. after all, you still MEAN the same thing, you are just finding a 'different' way to say it. saying 'poo' instead of 'sh*t' for example - the words mean exactly the same, but where the former will just attract giggles from six year olds, the latter will get you a raised eyebrow from your grandma.
I suppose it must just be attributed to another of societies hypocrises.
