Le Bon Roi Dagobert

I found this great link http://www.smokykin.com/ged/f002/f27/a0022767.htm about "Mrs Dagobert"! Not the same Dagobert, though. I thought you might find this interesting, however http://www.ghgcorp.com/shetler/oldimp/

Also, which Dagobert is the song about (Le bon roi Dagobert)?

Yeah, I've seen a few of those genealogical links, and I mentioned a few of them in the other thread. Unfortunately without any references it's kind of hard to check their veracity, and even if they aren't made up (and I doubt that they would be) I'd still consider such accounts highly dubious. We are talking about records over 1500 yrs ago. One of those links goes back over 2000 yrs, which is a bit of a stretch for Germanic tribes without a civilisation (eg Rome).

And the Dagobert in question would be the first one, who employed St Eloi/Eligius as his chief counsellor.

Y'know, I've just discovered that there are not one but two movies with this name, one made in 1963, the other in 1984. Both are French, and the latter stars the lovely Carole Bouquet.

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0185200 for the 1963 version and http://us.imdb.com/Title?0086989 for the 1984 one.
