Am I the only one that remembers that PG-13 originally started after Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? because it wasn't bad enough to be rated R, but was considered to be a bit rough for the PG rating it received. Whenever I mention this bit of trivia to anyone old enough to remember, I get either weird looks, or told I'm wrong. I was in fourth grade at the time this all happened, so I'm pretty sure I recall this correctly...

steven spielberg was and is still so powerful in hollywood that it is well known that he can get any rating he chooses on one of his films. the pg-13 rating was created because the mpaa wanted to give temple of doom a (well deserved) r and he simply wouldn't hear of it. rather that make him mad, they created the pg-13 rating right then and there.

Ah-ha! So I *am* right! everyone who has said otherwise! (OK, so none of them are on here that I know of, and some are no longer with us...)
