you are absolutely right. You really need a pretty fast computer. The last file I rendered tool about 8 hours to parse and about 1 1/2 hours to trace just because of some stupid trees. What kind of raytracer do you use? I use povray and I love it. Kind of difficult sometimes but you get used to after a while
