Slight update: The Mazda RX-7 was produced for the Japanese market with exports being permited to Australia. US and Europe sales took too large of a drop for them to continue to produce this vehicle for those markets. Rumors have it that Mazda will be releasing a 'replacement' vehicle for these markets sometime in 2002.

Actually the new model is called the RX-8 and will have suicide doors for the back seat. supposedly these will appear in mazda dealerships sometime in 2003.
