A Conversation for How to Recognise a Good Dog Breeder

Good!

Definitely a good article! There was a passing mention of waiting lists, but it surprises a lot of puppy buyers who call to find out that all of the puppies (and then some) are sold well before the puppies are born.

I did like mention of different 'types' in a breed. Some breeders breed large for the standard, some small, some racy, some chunky, and some sell 'show' puppies for more than 'pet' puppies. Always good to know what you want to go after.

Enough of my dithering...smiley - biggrin Good article.

Thanks very much! smiley - cheers

Mostly it's the stuff I wish I had known before I got my first pup. I was very lucky and landed on my feet with the breeder I found, but it could have been a disaster!

Pow*
