Even though Xander will always have a special place iin his heart for Buffy, this also showed how very much in love with Anya he was. As the s the scene progressed he seemed to be talking more as if it were all the things he knows he she should have to Anya but was projecting them to Buffy. As anyone who knows me knows, this is one of my favourite moments of the entire show. For the first time you see how much of a man Xander can be, how truly heroic he is. When he walks in, talking to Anya I feel great, it's inspirational (Honestiago)
