I tried to reply a minute ago, but I got 'Greetings Unknown Hiker'ed!
Yes, Adric is very baby, isn't he? I'd have liked to see more of Nyssa, and hope I get the chance in something else.smiley - ufo

If they bring out Arc Of Infinity and Terminus, you'll get to see two very good Nyssa stories. She's very good in the audio series as well. Thjey make the Doctors and Companions what they should have been on the tv show,

Let's hope they do... Jimmy has a website you should check out: http:zoeshrine.da.ru it's about his obsession with, guess who? Zoe. He had some links to photos of other companions. Check if you can!

Awesome,
I'll have a look. I met Wendy Padbury (Zoe) at the Doctor Who convention here in Sydney. She was so nice, a great person and apart from having blonde hair now, she hasn't changed a bit.

I'll check out the site now

Hiya Della,
Just checked out Jimmy's site. It's great, well done to him. I loved the photos he had and there was even one I hadn't seem before.

For the record, Ian Chesterton was played by William Russell and Peter Davidson is spelt Davison.

Anyway, and excellent site,

Alicia

Thanks Della,

I met Wendy in April this year. The Australian Doctor Who club had their convention on the weekend of the 4th to 6th. Our guests were Wendy Padbury and Janet Fielding, who was Tegan. They were both great. Wendy was sweet from beginning to end and she'd brought her daughter Charley with her. Wendy has a great sense of humour... something we were thankful for on the morning after she found a cocroach on her bed...ick! I don't think we'll be using the same hotel again.

Janet was great also. The boys all said they were scared of her, but I think that's only because she is a very, very smart woman. I got along well with Janet and we had a great chat about a mutual friend, Mark Strickson (who I'd known while I was at uni.)

My favourite Zoe line comes from The Crotons when she says:

"The Doctor's almost as clever as I am."

Jimmy attended a Con this year (his first) and the guests were Janet Fielding and a novelist who writes Dr Who Books. (smiley - wah, I have forgotten his name...)
Jimmy had a wonderful time,he bought heaps of books. He'll be wrapt to learn that WP has a daughter, he's always wanted to know that. His favourite Zoe line is probably the one where she laughs at Jamie for wearing "female attire". He likes the one you mentioned as well.
My favourite companion used to be Romana II, but I'd say now it's Ace, Barbara or Peri (!)smiley - ufo

Glad to hear Jimmy had a great time at the con'. This was my first one as well and I ended up helping out. What a start *grin* Wendy has two daughters, though I don't know what the other's name is and I think she's older than Charley.

My favourites companions are Ace (my namesake), Nyssa, Tegan, Sarah Jane and Zoe.

If the author's a 'him', and if he was on with Janet Fielding, would it have been Gary Russell, who was in Australia earlier this year? He's also the producer of Doctor Who on audio, former editor of Doctor Who magazine and author of the 'Art of the Lord of the Rings trilogy' companion books.

Probably, but it could also be someone called Chris... Jimmy found him very interesting, he learned a lot about writing and publishing. smiley - ufo

I think Gary did go over to NZ with Janet, but I can't remember. Gary doesn't like me very much so I just don't talk to him,

Yes,
he comes over here a lot and has been to a few Doctor Who days/events we've run. Unfortunately I'm too female and too straight for his liking *laff*

Hopefully the best story is currently being written by Russel T Davies for the new series in 2005!! Otherwise, my own favourites are probably The Talons of Weng Chiang and The Caves of Androzani.

Ah yes, Paul.
I re,e,ber now. He's a great writer. I like his stuff.

I have only ever wanted to write Doctor Who stuff, but ended up writing The Bill stuff instead. Weird.

I wish Jimmy all the luck with his writing smiley - smiley
