A Conversation for Halloween: Being The Adventures Of Michael Myers
Nice overview, but at least MENTION John Carpenter once...

The man is pretty much responsible for modern horror film as we know it, and Halloween is the main reason why. Otherwise, kudos.

I agree - the section I had written on John Carpenter, on his direction, music and a basic filmography, ended up being moved to the review of "Halloween" itself, rather than the overview.

Absolutely. The man changed horror films forever and it was a shame that he had nothing to do with the rest of the Hallowe'en series. Hallowe'en 4 was an insult to his work. He had the thriller element in the first 2 but Hallowe'en 4 resorted to thumbs through the forehead; a thing I feel John Carpenter would never have had in any of his Hallowe'en films. There was no suspense in it. If they are carrying on with the series, then let him come back and do one last, final Hallowe'en, show them how it's done. The man is a genius and I for one am grateful for him bringing us Hallowe'en and the wonderful, legendary Michael Myers
