h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have to start out by being totally honest. I've not seen the Halloween films. At least not a whole one. I've never really been interested in the slasher-type movies (although I like Freddy's style and humour). After having read these reviews of the films, though, I'm very tempted to find them and watch them just so I can see if I agree with the reviews or not. I rarely do that when it comes to films.

Excellent write-up, as I said, and congrats on getting them onto the first page.

Thanks for popping by. I'll be honest with you that they're not cinematic masterpeieces (especially not "Halloween 5"), but they're not bad to watch as student films with a few friends round and generally relaxing.

I agree with not being cinematic masterpieces, but would rather suffer Hallowe'en 5 than 4! As far as #6 went, you had to have known the original to understand it. The wonderful Donald Pleasance kept those films alive. They should have kept Michael Myers as he was in the first 2. He had no suspense in 4, 5 and 6. He never stayed to look at the bodies, never tilted his head from side to side. Still, I do still watch them time and time again!
