Just to let you know (although you probably already do) that they have issued a medal for women who worked in the land army. It's a little late, but it's in recognition of the service to the country, etc. Not sure how an ex land-girl might go about getting them...

does anyone know an email address/website i can contact regarding the medals? my grandmother was in the ww2 land army yet she passed away shortly before medals where issued so i would love to find out if she should of been awarded one and if so, if im able to recieve it on her behalf for the family to keep in her memory. makes me very proud!
