This is a really nice article 
However one thing that grates quite a little with me is the repeated usage of the Bubonic Plague in this article.
The Bubonic plague was the outbreak of plague in the 17th century immediately preceding the Great Fire of London (ie. in 1665)
The far more devastating great plague of the 14th and 15th centuries is generally known as The Black Death.
It is a minor point to this article I admit but it did irk me a little.
I appreciate that most would argue that it was Bubonic plague that caused the Black Death but there is significant opposition to this theory and evidence to suggest that the Black death was not the same at all - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Death
Anyway, don't get me wrong - as I said a minor point - just thought I'd mention it.
