Mantle liquid?
earthgazzy1 Started conversation May 10, 2009
The mantle is not a liquid, it is solid. There is an area within the mantle that is partialy melted called the Low Velocity Seismic Zone (L.V.S.Z), this is only 5% molten however.
The outer core is the only area within the earth that is liquid.
