G'day,Poms,(I am an exPom so its not racial!!!)I live not far from Beechworth and should let you know that we are in the middle of a very bad drought,so there isn't a lot of water about. There are heaps of other things to see and do tho',gold mines,an old gaol, beautiful scenery and the best bakery around.Come and enjoy (I WONT say "where the b***** hell are you!)Lots of excellent wineries, cheese and mustard factories around the district too.Have I whetted your appetites? Cheers.smiley - biggrinsmiley - alesmiley - bubbly

Ah, I know that the old water hole has probably dried up, and it don't look like the pic I took many moons ago after the bushfires in '03, but the memories prompted the article smiley - smiley

Where ya from? I'm a Beechworth lad myself - you from Yack, 'donga or Albury? or even closer?

Nice to see someone from near the old homestead out and about on hootoo smiley - biggrin

World is in a mess, not a lot we can do about it tho'.Jindera was hit by local vandals on the week-end,smashed the glass in the phone box, beer bottles all over the place and small trees, planted by the council, broken off at the base. What is it with these kids,I wonder?Lack of parental control at an early age I think,Dr.Spock has a lot to answer for, with his ideas of letting them do what they want.Well got that off my chest!Don,t expect you to rush back here to fix it!! Do your parents have a 'puter to keep in contact with you? MMust away now,get on to my horsey site!. Cheers.smiley - oksmiley - smiley
