This could be an upgrade to an entry that was Created: 8th March 2007.
It could be a compliment or a proposed addition.
Instead it is an indication of what could happen if I was at all interested in German food, or wanted to know a little more about the researcher who wrote it.
It is also an example of the point that I was trying to make here :- F19585?thread=8029882&post=106048444#p106043454

I already replied to this in the thread. As I said Updates should be visible somewhere in the Entry because you cannot expect people who are not part of the community to find them otherwise.

Fair point but the entries are dated and supposedly edited at that time.
How about your entry where this conversation is taking place. I must admit that I haven't read it but more importantly when was the last time you gave it a glance ?

Well, it's recipes for christmas cookies so it's not likely that it needs an update soon. But that's also not the point I was trying to make, I explained everything in the other thread...

How about additions ? You didn't answer the question having got the entry into the Guide how often have you thought about it since ?
I am not trying to confuse you, I just happen to believe that there is more to h2g2 than the Edited Guide.
PS. I have read some of the recipes I am tempted to have a go, my cooking skills go as far as the frying pan, a saucepan and a toaster.

I thought about it yesterday. I see the point that you are trying to make, that people should check their own Entries regularly to see if they are still correct. And you are right.
This still leaves the question that I asked about: What can be done if they need an update?
I think additions are made in Conversations about Entries anyhow. Maybe there should be more.

I have quite a few guide entries but have never put one through peer review. Never thought it was worth the hassle. Normal entries can be edited by the creator, for edited entries I assume that you go through the Editorial Feedback - A38833
Prominence is given to edited entries on the Front Page and the Post. I think some of the Groups need to be given more emphasis.
Key: Complain about this post
