h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

there seems to be a trend today of cartoons going over the heads of their target audiences. a good example of this is "George of the Jungle". GOTJ is my favorite cartoon of all time, not because of george himself, but because of the little Super Chicken shorts.
a famous line is:
Fred the Lion: "I sure wish I had Super Vision!"
Super Chicken: "well, I try to do the best i can for you, Fred."

someone please tell me the name of the other 70's cartoon show with little shorts in-between (ala Roger Ramjet...)

At last, another Super Chicken fan! I have warm memories of watching this on Saturday morning as a wee tad. Who can possibly forget the lyrics to the theme music, worthy of a Cole Porter or an Ira Gershwin:

"When you find yourself in danger
When you're threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you will take a licking
