A Conversation for Scary Tales for Halloween
Me and my shadow part II

In my first job after university I was required to go to quite a few historic sites - one of the loveliest has to be Hereford Cathedral. I was there with a colleague and we were sitting in one of the side chapels talking quietly. He was talking about his brother who had died and I was telling him about my beloved grandfather who I never had a chance to say goodbye to and who I still miss so much that it hurts to think about it.
My colleague left me to my thoughts and I closed my eyes to try to think about all the things I wanted to say to him. Just then I felt somethone at my shoulder and something take my hand. "It is alright, you were always forgiven, you will always be loved" - I didn't hear the words, they were not spoken but I knew he was with me then at that moment and then he was gone again.
When I am nervous or sad I sometimes feel someone take my hand... or is just my imagination.
