The McBurney referenced here has closed. There is a new McBurney, located a few blocks away on 14th Street between 6t & 7th Aves, but it's essentially just a (very nice) health club - no rooms available. The Harlem, West Side (near Lincoln Center) and Vanderbilt (east Midtown) Ys continue to offer cheap rooms, though: www.ymcanyc.org for more info.
