A Conversation for Defenestration
Small Screw Phenomenon

I only came across the word "defenestration" when Robert Rankin mentioned it as the only means to escape the consequences of the SSP in "The book of ultimate truths".
It concerns the phenomenon that whenever you repair a toaster or radio or something there are ALWAYS two screws left but the toaster/radio/whatever works nonetheless. If you try to put these screws in again you will realise that not only it won't work any longer, but that you now have three screws left. The only way to avoid this is to defenestrate the screws that are left.
