Oh yeah! I just wore a suit. No raised eyebrows there then!
The first party was in a marquee in a garden. Lots of nice food and drink but we hardly knew anyone. The second party was in someone's house where we knew just about everyone and they were playing silly party games like pass the parcel - with forfeits.

*Raises eyebrows*
I can't recall the last party where we played party games, must have been when I was a teenager.
I ended up going over to the m-i-l after she called - anything to keep the peace in the house. Nearly fell asleep watching cirque du soleil.

We always play silly party games. Though, they tend to have a more grown up feel about them than the ones we played as children - but not much. I noticed that when we went to France that they had circus on TV. We very rarely have circus on TV here. Animal circuses are particularly frowned upon.

This circus is completely without animals. Husband and his mum went in November last year, and what we watched was on DVD.
To be honest, I don't really recall any of the party games, it's been too long ago.

we've jsut had word that my in-laws are coming later than planned so we will be taking the dog to a nice park for a run around this afternoon. Walking two days in a row! I may burn some calories!

And imagine all the intake of fresh air. Can you really afford to start the new year this healthy? I mean, you'll have to keep it up for the next 364 days.

I think it's like any addiction - just take it one day at a time!
I've been told that my office is moving back to its old location now that the upgrade of the building is completed. I can walk to work at the moment but then I will need to use my car again. I may have to reregister with the gym.

Ha, first day of the new year, and you had to remind me that I haven't been to the gym for ages
Will it be too far to cycle to work?
