Twiglets? Are they marmite based or are they not?

On the pack I've just eaten, the second ingredient (right there after wholemeal) is yeast extract. However, whether it is Marmite or another inferior brand I do not know, so the answer is maybe. Sorry. I like to think they are. By the way, does anyone know what happened to Marmite Mini Cheddars?

rest assured that the yeast extract in twiglets is a marmite variant.Mini Cheddars are produced by KP foods in Ashby de la Zouch, about 12 miles from the marmite factory at Burton upon Trent, and of course contain the black gold.

Did anyone ever try the weird flavour twiglets they made last year? They had spicy tomato and chilli flavour and stuff like that?

If you wish to replicate the Twiglet taste in the comfort of your own home, it is easily done with a slice of bread (white or brown), a jar of marmite and a hot grill. Lightly toast the bread to provide a slightly crispy surface for the Marmite to adhere to, spread Marmite liberally over the entire suface of the slice, then pop it under a hot grill. Monitor it's progress and remove when the Marmite begins to bubble. Popularly know in my social circle as Twiglet Toast.
