A Conversation for Public Transport

Buses in West Central Scotland

Bus Operators are regulated by a body called the Traffic Commissioner. He/She is supposed that Operators are of "good repute", good financial standing, operated their registered services according to the registered route and timetable and that their vehicles are mechanically sound. Buses MUST carry legal lettering to formally identify the operator.

How is it then that there is an operator running in Lanarkshire and into Glasgow who is allowed to show no legal lettering and has no fleetname? This operator has the tattiest vehicles, some of which do not even have current tax discs.

A word of warning therefore do not use this operator (buses with red and cream colours) which does not accept the local Zonecard. The Traffic Commissioner is not doing anything, but for the public benefit, I am.
