A Conversation for Australian Funnel-web Spiders

I live in Hornsby!

Gavin

Having emigrated from the U.K. as an adult, I remember the advice of my then 5 year old nephew as he gave me a tour of his vegetable garden when I first arrived in Australia, when I saw a creepy-crawly which I did not recognise (the first of many).
"What is that?" I asked.

"I don't know, don't touch it!" was his reply.

Not too surprisingly I decided that it was probably time to find something to do indoors. After 20+ years in Oz I am now a little more equipped to identify what is harmless but my nephew's advice has stuck in my mind. Whether spiders, snakes, bees or box jellyfish, when in doubt, leave them alone!

Having said that, it's still the best place to avagoodweekend!
