I think the recent article contains inaccuracies:

1. Cadbury alone made 40,000 tins. Rowntree and Fry probably made similar numbers.

2. The size of tins is to do with the maufacturer. The Cadbury's tins are the smaller ones.

3. The chocolate is not all marked "Cadbury". This is only true of the confectionary in their tins. Both the Fry and Rowntree's chocolate is marked with their own names in the large tins.

I have one of the smaller tins with the blue frame and the chocolate bars are stamped Rowntree - so there!
