Coffee and public servants.

Hey, great article (if somewhat familiar to an email going round last year...) but I cannot stand by and allow someone else to slag off Wellington. (ie, the comment "The capital is Wellington, which is really boring and windy, so don't go there unless you're a big fan of coffee, or public servants.") Whether it be civic pride or the fact that it's not THAT windy today, I would like to offer an alternative depiction of Wellington: http://www.h2g2.com/A155602

Oh, hang on. The wind's just got up.

oooh, mate, I've been to Wellington a few times and despite being a JAFFA went with an open mind, which immedately slammed shut the moment we flew in and I thought I was going to lose my lunch. Try Auckland mate, you'll love it.....(and we have great coffee up here and NO public servants)

You're just soft; the flight into Wellington is a little on the bumpy side, but it DOES keep the undesireables out. In fact there are plans to market it to tourists as "Arrival: Extreme!" or some other daft concept like that.

And I have tried Auckland; in my opinion, far too many lanes. I kept cutting people off, and so ended up having to stick a sign on my car saying "Sorry, my fault".

Although you have a nice pointless restaurant-on-a-stick.
