Accepted means that his article was "submitted for rejection", but that it was found by The Powers That Be (Mark Moxon Primarily) to be unworthy of rejection. Hence it became a Guide Entry. Much to the rejoicing, by the looks of it, of the author.

You would have thought that they would run entries through a spell check. I wasnt even able to touch it up be for they accepted it. (and I still dont know why )

Looks like it. Well, I don't mind.
It means that I've got an even older article to my credit. And this one, apart from 3 paragraphs, is all mine anyway. 
Not to belittle the excellent paragraphs written by Darreny-Warreny.
