A Conversation for Right Side of the Bed
Not the right side of the bed / the right side of not the bed

What if you don't sleep in a bed? What if you sleep on
the floor? What if you sleep on the sofa: The sofa's
sides are the bed's ends and vice versa, unless your
sofa folds out into a bed, in which case, is it really the
sort of bed we're talking about? (Seeing as many sofa
beds are not very comfortable, one could argue that
they have no right side. Especially since sofa beds are
not usually one's regular bed, but often used by guests,
or spouses who lost the argument.) What if you sleep
on a chair? Okay, what if you sleep standing up?

Indeed, what if you don't actually fall asleep in the
first place? Does the bed then automatically have
only one side? Because, since you didn't fall asleep,
alternate possibilities might not have been allowed
to accumulate, assuming you have the same attitude
you had when you got into bed. One could suppose
that this might usually result in a wrong-side rising,
based on the observation that people who don't get
enough sleep are often cranky in the morning.
Another question: Can you get out on the wrong
side after a nap? Or does this only apply to the new
day? Although naps are usually shorter, alternate
possibilities could still accumulate....
