A Conversation for The Agony of Being a Chicago Cubs Fan

On a recent visit to Chicago I went to Cominski Park to watch a baseball match. As I had never even seen a game before I was naturally baffled most of the time but it was fun. I got to sing that song from all those baseball movies 'lets go down to the ball game' - by following the bouncing ball. I strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago and to be honest it hardly matters if you understand the game, its the lovely atmosphere there that I most remember. I watched the White Sox play Cleveland (I think) and they lost rather woefully, It rained and I had to keep asking what was happening as this was obviously more complex than rounders but believe me it was thoroughly enjoyable

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, but if you visit again, make sure you see the Cubs play in Wrigley Field this time. Wrigley Field will make you realize that Comiskey Park has all the charm of an airport terminal

You said it. I mean old Comiskey was an ok stadium, but now... Wrigley on the other hand is magical. When I see the stadium walls covered in that beautiful ivy, I am always amazed at how makes me feel at home.
