h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

While thinking of the topic of exercise I think of all the time I spend in the gym. On the exercise bikes and the tredmills of just in general we go and go for no real apparent reason. We put small furry animals in cages with wheels and call them pets. Are we really somone elses pet?

Well, after 3 years in a corporate threadmill I can only hope I am in some kind of behavioral experiment, and that someone is getting some useful results out of it. Talk about going on and on and on, that's no way to treat a pet!
At least in the gym I am given the occasional stimulant or reward.
