Whose idea of a bad joke was it to suggest hamsters as ideal kids pets? Vicious little things that sleep all day and then only wake up at night to bite anyone who comes near them and then keep the house awake all night by running in a squeaky treadmill. That's the hamsters, not the kids. Not that I'm blaming the hamster - if I were one, I'd want some serious revenge for being kept in a cage the size of a shoe box and prodded by sadistic brats.

the revenge part comes when you put two hamsters of different sexes in the same box.
