About Howard the Duck - that wasn't entirely Lucas' fault. He might have Directed it, maybe even wrote it, but it wasn't his character. Howard is a Marvel Comics character, where Star Wars is all Lucas.

I don't think George Lucas actually wrote, or directed Howard the Duck I'm pretty sure he only produced it.
Maybe it seemed a good idea at the time?

I _LIKED_ Howard the Duck, personally. People just tend to take movies far too seriously.

Ever read Marvel's "Howard the Duck" comic? I mean the early ones, written by Steve Gerber. The movie didn't even come close. It was an embarassment to all concerned... Lucas, Gerber, and Marvel. The comic book series was actually quite absorbing, funny, philosphical, and thought provoking... it worked on several levels. The movie was just a long string of awful jokes and awful costuming.
